Monday Blues{ DIY Ripped Jeans}

We love DIY projects, especially since they cost close to nothing. This fun DIY ripped jeans tutorial requires an old pair of denim jeans sitting in your closet,  or visit your local consignment shop, and pick up a great pair of jeans for a few bucks. We are seeing a lot of rips this Fall, so bust out your scissors, and your working fingers, and get to ripping.

Step 1: Take a piece of chalk and mark the area that you are wanting your rips. This will help decide how many patches of rips you want. Hold the jeans up in the mirror to see if you are happy with your placement.
Step 2: Take a pair of sharp scissors and cut a few lines into your chalked area.
Step 3: Using a needle or your fingernails, start separting the white string and removing the blue threads until the white thread is exposed to your liking. This does take some time, but the outcome is worth it.
Step 4: Continue this process for each cut you made.
Step 5: Rock your new ripped jeans!
