Are You Washing Your Hair Correctly?

Has your hair been a pain in the butt lately? Possibly your shiny locks have lost it’s touch, or maybe your hair has been stuck in the same bad hair day for weeks now. Your hair washing routine could be the answers to all your hair problems. Today is the day, and the secrets are reveled.

Washing Your Hair Before Bed
This is key to achieving healthier hair. Put down the hair dryer, and start air-drying those locks! Sleeping on somewhat damp hair will not only save you from damaging it, but it will also give you an effortless look! Loose waves are what girls die over and who would have thought, it’s that easy to create!

Don’t Wash Your Hair Everyday
Bad hair days are the worst! If your hair has been giving you hell and you just can’t seem to manage it, it’s because you’re washing it to often. Girl, lay off the shampoo! You are taking away nutrients and natural oils that help give you gorgeous hair. Wash only a few times a week, and if you start to get a little greasy use dry shampoo to help soak it in. Your hair will be easier to style, and it will look amazing!

Change Up Your Products
Possibly stuck in a hair plateau? Blame it on the products you are using. When you go shopping for hair products and you find the perfect match, your hair looks and feels amazing, it’s almost like miracle! That feeling will go away and your hair will start to plateau. Change up your shampoo and conditioner every 4-6 weeks and you hair will stay fabulous!

Shampoo Twice
If you think about it, it makes perfect sense. When you first shampoo your hair you are washing out dirt and grease, but what about the cleansing part? That’s when washing your hair twice comes in. First wash out dirt/grease, second cleanse, third moisturize. Wha-laaaa!

Lukewarm Showers
Hot water can damage your hair, just like curling irons and blow dryers. Limit the heat ladies! Your hair is more sensitive than you think. Washing your hair with hot water can strip away those amazing oils. Those natural oils keep hair shinny and help control frizz. Start washing your hair with lukewarm water!
